      exodus 20 3-5
You shall have no other gods before me.
i do yoga and i look for my God Jesus Christ
it doesn’t say you cant practice.
if anybody look at their Gods that’s their free will
no one is entitle to judge or to make any stereotype on any workout practice.

ask god to speak to your heart

    2. lobat0674 Says:

no one is owner of anything on this earth.
so no yoga or work out belongs to hindu or asian or anybody.

its just body work out . just like if you go to the gym

now if you are talking to God when you are doing yoga, you just doing work out and talking to God .

      as simple as that

so stop creating more confusion on this last days and be fruitful not lazy

and if you don’t do yoga
you got no case on even talking about what you ignore by choice.

      use wisdom
      not your thinking

We (as Christians) should not make up vain and empty headed excuses for bathing in the practices of pagans.

When Christians try to justify this sinful act as just a stress reliever, one should really examine oneself to see if they are in the faith.

THE BEST STRESS RELIEVER IS PRAYER AND SCRIPTURE

    4. WarriorPriest28 Says:

Yoga is pagan bottom line and true Christians should not part take in the acts of heathens. We are to be set apart from the world, not partaking in its practices.

Its all about Jesus not some Hindu pagan cult nonsense. Be Holy for God is Holy.

      Good job Dr. MacArthur

    5. anant14 Says:

Please google “Hathyoga Pradeepika”……just to have an idea about what I am saying………………………

But, it is also correct that HIndu/buddhist schools having different philosophies like monotheism, monoentheism, panentheism, monistic theism, dualism ,
      shunyavada have all used yoga…….

Therefore one can say that anyone can use it…..you are correct in that respect….

    6. anant14 Says:

The fact is that Yoga was designed for spiritual benefit……..not for bodybuilding……..Non-HIndus can ofcourse practice it………

But “stealing” and “distorting” it without any sense of respect towards sages like Patanjali, Swatmarama, Gorakhanath and many other unknown Masters is morally wrong!

      It is plain plagarism!……

    7. Godpleaser77 Says:

I totally disagree! I could start a cult by introducing them to weight lifting and call it a religion. There is no difference. Stretching and breathing practices can be done in the name of any religion. Just because you stamp a religious stamp on it doesn’t make it Hindu! Oh and I am confirming that when I do yoga, there is no spiritual impact anymore then weight lifting ect. Thats just the way I view it!

    8. anant14 Says:

Iif anyone believes that the Hindu sages who created Yoga were “Agents of the Devil” or “Perverts”….then it is better not to try it………It will be counterproductive as well as insulting to Hindus…..

    9. anant14 Says:

As an Indian Hindu, I feel that Yoga is certainly a Hindu practice and it was not exactly designed for physical benefits in the first place…………..

Therefore everyone must be informed it beforehand by the instructors……..although Non-Hindus may practice it….but one cannot confirm that it will not have any “spiritual influence”………

    10. Godpleaser77 Says:

To further my comment, I just watched a video that said There is no Hinduism without yoga and there is no yoga without Hinduism! Its similar to the Christian Rock dilemma! Guilty by association comes to mind. Similar to the Apostle Pauls comment concerning food sacrificed to idols in Corinthians 8. Again, the biggest part of Pauls comment were Love. Not offending your brother or sister.

    11. Godpleaser77 Says:

      (Continued)
There is a fine line, I do agree!

While I find the freedom to do this and in way glorifying God with a health body and mind. I would never use my freedom as a stumbling block for my Brothers and Sisters in Christ! Thanks you for your comment, and thank you for having enough love to express it. My first impression of Dave was not good, I dont like the way he explains it!

    12. Godpleaser77 Says:

I love when people share things with me! Because, I feel that God could be speaking through them. I feel that your comment has a lot of merit. Of course I do not want to follow anything other then God. That being said. I began doing so-called yoga without any knowledge of what yoga was in its purest sense. Yep thats not of God. But I feel that yoga in stretching and breathing does have some merit. It helps me with back problems and the deep breathing from the stomach is great for relaxing.

    13. megenoita Says:

Mac made this point, that as purely exercise, yoga is fine as nothing in and of itself is impure (such as any particular food). However yoga is almost never used exclusively for exercise. the yoga instructors are always talking about pantheistic doctrines such as being one with yourself, finding peace within yourself, etc. these are counter to Christian doctrine where we find peace through obedience to God’s word.

I know enough about Doug to worry that he is a false teacher…very bad…

    14. Godpleaser77 Says:

I believe that yoga taught in the traditional way (loving ones self) is wrong in the eyes of God. But if one uses it to stretch as a stress reliever, there is nothing wrong with this in the eyes of God. After all He created it, the evil one just perverted it! I still like John Macarthur and most of what he stands for. I dont know enough about Doug to comment on his teaching.

    15. theatreguy470 Says:

As a Christian would you rather be stretching reflecting on Christ or at the gym listening to secular music?

    16. DaniDivine2000 Says:

So funny my hubby and I got into it over this very issue while ago. We are Christian and I practice the postures in yoga and he doesn’t. When I started showin him one day at hm he started accusing me of doin some demonic yoga act? I was actualy meditating on Christ. A couple days after our tiff he picked up this Christian health book and flippin throu it came to a chapter on yoga and the doc explained yoga is very healthy and when doing postures he focuses on Christ. My hub was like omg.GodsGood
